THE FRONT BOOT

THIS IS LIVING

The 2017 Avida Fremantle has three slide-outs, a cocktail bar and a huge 49in TV with surround sound. It seems that this is one luxurious home on wheels.
“Wait till you step inside,” Avida sales and marketing manager Billy Falconer said. “It is pure elegance.”
The Fremantle uses the four-cylinder turbodiesel Iveco 70C, with airbag suspension, as its base vehicle. Features of this motorhome include the ability to control the hot water system, heater and air-conditioner through the Truma iNet app system, an electronically adjustable rear bed, and an onboard 3.6kW generator and 2000W inverter.
“The new 2017 model Fremantle is currently offered as a C-type motorhome with a bed over the cabin, allowing you to sleep and seat four people comfortably. Avida has really put a lot of unique features in this 8.6m motorhome, including hydraulic stabilisers and a towbar.”
Outside, you’ll find an electric awning, a hot and cold shower, an entertainment unit, and sandwich panel construction.

KEEP YOUR COOL!

Not every van has an onboard air-conditioner, and even those that do still need a way to cool things down when away from mains power. That’s where the Transcool EC3 portable air cooler comes in.
Able to operate on 12V, 24V, or 240V, the EC3 is an evaporative cooler that weighs only 1.5kg dry. What’s more, it has a low power draw, quiet, moisture-proof and variable-speed electric fans with a lifespan of more than 70,000 hours, directional air vents and more.
The Transcool housing is an ABS plastic injection moulding, so it can’t leak, and it’s baffled for use in moving vehicles.
This portable evaporative cooler comes with a 5L external water tank, a 24-month warranty, a 3m lead that plugs directly to a 12V socket, as well as a 240V-12V converter, so you can use the unit at home from a mains outlet.
