THE FRONT BOOT
NUMBERS UP ON
GOLD COAST
The Gold Coast Caravan and Outdoor Expo saw
a 26 per cent increase in visitor numbers on the
show’s last three years.
More than 120 exhibitors showed their wares at
Metricon Stadium from March 1 to 3, from entry-
level camper trailers to top-end motorhomes
worth $350,000.
“With product sold to a varied demographic of
show attendees, including largely families but
also couples young and old, it highlights just
how popular and diverse the caravanning and
camping lifestyle is in Queensland as well as the
importance of the event for local dealers and
manufacturers.”
Caravanning Queensland general manager Jason
Plant said the record-breaking attendance at the
Gold Coast show, as well as the organisation’s
other recent events, proved “vanlife” was alive
and well in Queensland.
“There is no better indicator to the strength of
the caravan industry than our industry events
and, year on year, we continue to see increased
attendance and sales growth,” he said.
