RV FEATURE In other words, it’s impossible to load the Cruiser to its GCM without exceeding the GVM, unless the trailer has no ball weight. The GVM upgrade eliminates the problem and allows you to reclaim that ‘lost’ towball weight. GVM upgrades are available for most of the popular tow vehicles; however, I do not believe there is an upgrade kit currently available in Australia for the Y62 Patrol. It’s important to note that due to the limited GCM of many of these vehicles, a GVM upgrade will be of little benefit and may further limit the loaded weight of the trailer that your vehicle can legally tow, assuming the vehicle is loaded to its full GVM.
