Caravanners have never been so spoilt for choice
when it comes to new tow-hauler metal – an
avalanche of new and revised heavy-duty tow
vehicles arrived in Australia this year.
New SUVs include the Lexus LX 450d and revised
Toyota Prado, while in the light commercials it
has been frenetically busy. New utes include
Ford Ranger Raptor, Mercedes-Benz X-Class and

RAM 1500, while all the most popular utes have
been revised: the Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-MAX,
Nisan Navara and Toyota HiLux have all received
upgrades in one form or another this year, while
the updated Mitsubishi Triton is due here early
next year.
