The Caravan Industry Association of Victoria
(CIA Vic) held its prestigious annual Hall of
Fame Business Awards in early July.
Held at Melbourne Crown Palladium,
Three industry stalwarts were inducted into
the CIA Vic Hall of Fame: Leo Cronin, Rob
Funder, and Peter Wright.
“The association has a long tradition of
recognising people who have contributed so
much to the industry, and our prestigious Hall
of Fame awards recognises both past and
present pioneers of our industry, of which
these three inductees most definitely are,”
CIA Vic CEO Rob Lucas said.
On this night each year, the association
also names the winner of the George
Pantazopoulos Young Achiever Award and
the Charlie Tebb Service to Industry Award.
This year, Irene Viergever of Thetford
Australia won the George Pantazopoulos
Young Achiever Award, while the Charlie
Tebb Service to Industry Award went to
Steve Borg of Retreat Caravans.

assessed by four independent judges, and the
awards recognise members for their outstanding
