Results of the research have been collected in a presentation written using Microsoft Office Word© application.

At school, the presentation has been shared by every student, discussed and re-arranged.

With this activity it has been possible to explain students the main Microsoft Office Word© commands and some suggestions to prepare a professional document.

Students had used this application even during the previous school year, so only specific commands have been analysed in this activity.

In particular, the following have been discussed with students:

How to copy text from web and paste text on an existing Word document.

How to format (text style, dimension) text and assign paragraph.

Suitable type of character to be used in a professional document.

How to insert a front page with title in the document.

How to insert a page interruption in a document and its meaning.

How to insert a section interruption in a document and its meaning.

How to insert an image in a document and manage it.

How to insert heading and footer in a document.

The lesson has been approached in the following way:

Each student had his own workstation and his own document.

A plenary has been used only to explain the main commands of the software.

Each student has applied and tried the explained command on its own document.

At the end of the lesson each student had prepared a sort of presentation on the topic, following the teacher's instructions.

At home students have finished the job, in groups, and provided a complete presentation on the topic.

After that, students have chosen a presentation for the whole class, to go ahead with the project.

The third part of the activity has been linked to the realization of a presentation based on the relation listed above. Presentations have been prepared using the Microsoft Office Power Point© application.

The activity was carried out completely at school.

Each student read the presentation and summarized it in a Microsoft Office Power Point© presentation.
