SCHOOL NEWS FISH STOCKING AND TREE PLANTING TRIPS Sch ool New s FISH STOCKING GROUP PICS by Brook Kepler On April 19th and 20th, Bucktail High School’s Interact and Environmental Clubs went on their Annual Fish Stalking and Tree Planting Trip. These clubs are put together with members of the student body, grades 9th through 12th, that enjoy help- ing out with our community and environment. Throughout the school year, the clubs get together and volunteer, or participate in activities, such as hosting semi-formal dances, doing trash pickups, attending community blood drives, and cleaning for big events, like Flaming Foliage and the Hyner Challenge. During this year’s tree planting trip, the students planted an estimated 1,000 trees. The club trip is guided by local DCNR. Another annual event the students participate in is fish stocking. This year, the students stocked an estimated 2,500 fish.
