Ask Greta Dear Greta, I am a 22 year old man, engaged to a 25 year old woman. I love her dearly, but I have one problem - I'm scared to death of getting married. My fiance has already been married once, and her divorce wasn't exactly pretty. Although she says she's will- ing to try again, I'm not sure I'm ready to take that big step. I asked her to marry me last September, but now it seems as if the cold-feet syndrome is kicking in. Am I foolish for being this nervous? Should I just call the whole thing off and risk losing the woman I love? Please help. - Cold Feet Dear Cold Feet, If it is merely a case of cold feet, then I'd say that's normal. However, if you have doubts about making such a lifetime commitment at this time, then you need to explore this. Before saying any- thing to your fiance, sit down and think long and hard about what exactly is bothering you. If it's simply a matter of some irritating habits of hers, then ask yourself if you feel you can live with those habits without letting them get your goat, so to speak. If you can, then fine, it is simply cold feet and those tiny habits are nothing to really worry about. If, however, you are attracted to someone else or you suspect she is, I strongly suggest you take some more time before walking down the aisle. Good luck to both of you!
