GOLFING AT NIGHT FOR THE KEYSTONE CENTRAL FOUNDATION The Keystone Central Foundation held its second annual Night Flight Golf tour- nament at the Clinton County Club on June 24th. Sixteen teams of golfers enjoyed an evening of festivities, including a dinner hosted by Haywood’s on the Green, silent auction, and live auction. Golfers played 9 holes of golf with glow in the dark balls after sunset, and competed for a number of prizes offered by the foundation and several donors. The dinner was sponsored by Susquehanna Trailways. The event raised over $14,000 for the foundation to utilize for Teacher Mini- Grants throughout the upcoming school year. In the 2016-2017 school year, the foundation distributed $7,450 between 17 KCSD teachers and affected hundreds of students with Teacher Mini-Grants. Each year, the foundation encourages teach- ers K-12 to apply for the grants which allow them to implement special programs within the classroom that are otherwise outside the scope of building budgets. Past projects include an apple orchard at CMHS, a 3D printer for Bucktail, class trips to zoos and state parks, literacy programs, a SkillsUSA project, and a tree nursery, to name a few. If you would like more information about how you can support the Keystone Central Foundation and/or become part of the Alumni and Friends, please contact Angela Harding at 570-893-4900, or by email: email@example.com.
