Ladies by Susanne Lamb Women are continuously underrepresented in media, political office, high-paying jobs, and thus, history. We must constantly combat objectification, perceived weaknesses, and other unique roadblocks to achieve success in what we do. For this piece, I drew a selection of brave, ground-breaking, high-achieving American women that have shaped history and inspired us all to demand more. Susanne is an artist from Cape Cod, currently living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Her work can be found on books, candles and pajamas. She can be found drawing, writing, and planning her next vacation. As an American, I am lucky to have more opportunities than my parents had in their home country. While we still have lots of progress to make towards equal opportunity, we live in a country where we will not settle and we will continually strive to do better for all Americans. This is what makes America great. Lorraine is an illustrator with an affinity for paper, based in Brooklyn. She creates worlds out of paper for magazines, online publications and books. She is currently working on a children's book.
