What is your fitness regime? SS: I do some stretching and workout and follow good eating habits to stay fit. RM: It is actually very important. I run for one hour daily in the morning and go to the gym in the evening for about 1-2 hrs. SD: I do free hand exercises to be mentally strong. I also do yoga. I have also started going to the gym to improve my fitness. GP: What’s the strongest part of your game? SS: Swinging the club RM: Driving SD: Chipping and Driving GP: Which event was the game-changer for you? SS: PGTI Players Championship in 2010 at Panchkula Golf Club RM: Patna Open SD: McLeod Russel Tour Championship 2014 GP: What is your setup routine before each shot? SS: I choose the distance and decide where and how far I want to hit the shot. I also check the alignment before hitting. GolfPlus RM: I check the alignment and the hit the shot. SD: Alignment is very important. First I align my shot and then hit. GP: What are your goals for the season? SS: I would like to win a few times. I want to finish in the top-5 in the country at the end of the year. RM: My rank is 32 on the PGTI. My goal is to reduce that number by 22 at least. SD: I want to finish in the top-5 of the PGTI Order of Merit this year. GP: If it wasn’t golf, what other sport would you have liked to play at a competitive level? SS: Squash or Football RM: Football SD: Football GP: How do you take a break from golf? SS: I have a young family, a young daughter. She is my break from golf and everything. I like travelling outdoors, hills etc. RM: I spend time with my family. SD: I have two children and I have a joint family. I love to spend time with them. SEPTEMBER 2018 35
