The month of October saw the TATA Steel PGTI’s Main Tour enter an exciting phase with the staging of the second edition of the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational Presented by TAKE Solutions at the revered Chandigarh Golf Club. The Rs. 1.5 crore event, jointly launched by TAKE Solutions and TATA Steel PGTI in 2018 as a gesture to honour Indian gol¿ ng legend Jeev Milkha Singh, attracted a stellar ¿ eld for the second year running. The tournament witnessed the launch of TAKE Solutions’ and TATA Steel PGTI’s joint Go Green initiative to do away with plastic water bottles for players in keeping with the spirit of the Swachh Bharat Mission. In an enthralling contest, local lad Ajeetesh Sandhu pipped Rashid Khan on the fourth playoff hole much to the delight of the home crowd. Ajeetesh’s win at the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational 2019 Presented by TAKE Solutions catapulted him to second position in the TATA Steel PGTI Order of Merit. Sandhu, who had posted a joint runner- up ¿ nish on the Asian Tour earlier in the month, thus continued his rich vein of form.
