CEO’s Message
Uttam Singh Mundy
G
reetings and best wishes from the
entire team of PGTI.
The month of October saw the
TATA Steel PGTI’s Main Tour enter an
exciting phase with the staging of the
second edition of the Jeev Milkha Singh
Invitational Presented by TAKE Solutions
at the revered Chandigarh Golf Club.
The Rs. 1.5 crore event, jointly launched by
TAKE Solutions and TATA Steel PGTI in
2018 as a gesture to honour Indian gol¿ ng
legend Jeev Milkha Singh,
attracted a stellar ¿ eld for
the second year running.
The tournament witnessed
the launch of TAKE
Solutions’ and TATA Steel
PGTI’s joint Go Green
initiative to do away with
plastic water bottles for
players in keeping with
the spirit of the Swachh
Bharat Mission.
In an enthralling contest,
local lad Ajeetesh Sandhu
pipped Rashid Khan on
the fourth playoff hole
much to the delight of the home crowd.
Ajeetesh’s win at the Jeev Milkha Singh
Invitational 2019 Presented by TAKE
Solutions catapulted him to second position
in the TATA Steel PGTI Order of Merit.
Sandhu, who had posted a joint runner-
up ¿ nish on the Asian Tour earlier in the
month, thus continued his rich vein of
form. The tournament matched the record
for the longest playoff on the PGTI.
