The 23-year-old Sheoran (71- 70-70), who won the season- opener at the BSF Golf Club in Chhawla, Delhi, the previous week, continued his domination of the Feeder Tour by signing off with a two-under-70 at the Aravalli Golf Club that helped him ¿ nish with a winning total of ¿ ve-under-211. Sheoran was the only player in the ¿ eld to post three sub-par rounds. Delhi-based Bikramjit Singh Sandhu (72- 71-69) recorded a career-best second place ¿ nish after he carded a three-under-69 in the last round that took his total to four-under-212. Rookie Dhruv Sheoran, lying overnight tied second, overcame a two-shot de¿ cit after mixing ¿ ve birdies with three bogeys in round three. After the 16th, Dhruv trailed nearest rival Bikramjit Singh Sandhu by one shot. However, a composed Sheoran turned it around with birdies on the last two holes to snatch a spectacular victory from the jaws of defeat. Sheoran has now become only the second player after Maniram Sharma to win back to back titles on the PGTI Feeder Tour. Maniram achieved the feat in 2010 when he won at Phillaur and Faridabad. Dhruv, who took home the winner’s purse of Rs. 1,01,720, now enjoys a signi¿ cant lead in the Feeder Tour Order of Merit as his season’s earnings read Rs. 2,03,440. Bikramjit is placed a distant second at Rs. 97,040. Sheoran said, “My aim at the start of the season was to try putting myself into contention every time. I’ve done that well so far. The key to my success over the last two weeks has been my calmness under pressure. My ball-control has also been excellent.” GolfPlus JUNE 2018 71
