UTTAM SINGH MUNDY
Greetings and best wishes from the entire team of PGTI . The PGTI closed the rst half of its 2018 season with the staging of the bti Open , a US $ 60,000 event , tri-sanctioned by the Asian Development Tour ( ADT ), Bangladesh Professional Golfers Association ( BPGA ) and the PGTI . The tournament played at the Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka was the third PGTI event to be held in Bangladesh this year , a fact that underscores the strong partnership forged between the PGTI and the BPGA with the shared vision of growing golf in the South Asian region . Twenty-three-year-old Kazuki Higa of Japan captured his maiden professional title with a wire-to-wire victory at the bti Open . Higa , playing in only his second season as a professional , completed his total domination of the week with a three-shot triumph . PGTI member Md Zamal Hossain Mollah of Bangladesh nished a creditable second . As the rst half of the PGTI season came to an end , it was heartening to see the likes of Indian youngsters such as Honey Baisoya , Udayan Mane , Veer Ahlawat and Syed Saqib Ahmed , rise to the occasion and make a mark for themselves . The PGTI Feeder Tour teed off after a four-year gap . Rookie Dhruv Sheoran took the Feeder Tour by storm as he won the rst two events of the season staged at the BSF Golf Club in Chhawla , Delhi and at the Aravalli Golf Club in Faridabad . Sheoran , who triumphed in his rst two appearances as a professional , became only the second player after Maniram Sharma to win back to back titles on the PGTI Feeder Tour . Sheoran now enjoys a signicant lead in the Feeder Tour Order of Merit and is denitely a name to watch out for in the future .
Best Wishes & Happy Golng
