1 BALL ABOVE THE FEET
Sometimes around the greens in
a chip, you get a very dif¿ cult lie
where the ball is about 1 foot above
you .The key to this shot is not get
too ambitious if you are stuck on
the slope of the bunker like this. Try
to get the ball as near as possible
to the hole and use a Sand or Lob
wedge for this shot. Hold the Club
2 inches shorter because the ball
is closer to you. Position the ball
two inches behind the right toe, the
higher the ball is to you, the further
back in the stance it is to be kept.
You can open the clubface a bit to
get some loft. Keep your weight
on the left foot and make sure you
keep your eye on the ball through
the shot because in all the dif¿ cult
shots the tendency of every player
is to look up. So you must keep
your eye completely on the ball and
make sure you take a very positive
follow through. The ball will come
out lower because its way back in
the stance and if the slope ahead of
you is high you may need to open
the face further. (Pic 1, 2)
