Lahiri posts career-best tied second on PGA Tour Earns highest ever prize money cheque Anirban Lahiri earned his career- best ſ nish on the PGA Tour at The Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, as he claimed tied second with a total score of 10-under-278 H ere are some of the stats relating to Anirban Lahiri’s sensational performance at The Memorial 2017: It was Lahiri’s best ever ¿ nish on the PGA Tour, his previous best was tied third at the CIMB Classic 2016 in Malaysia. His best result on American soil, previous best was tied ¿ fth at the PGA Championship 2015 played at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. Lahiri’s tied second at The Memorial is among the three best ¿ nishes for Indians on the PGA Tour, the others being Arjun Atwal’s win at the Wyndham Championship 2010 and his tied second at the BellSouth Classic 2005. Anirban picked up his highest ever prize money cheque of US$ 765,600 at the event worth US$ 8.7 million. His previous highest prize money cheque was from his victory at the Maybank Malaysian Open 2015 (US$ 500,000). His top-notch performance lifted him 25 spots from 90th to 65th place in the Of¿ cial World Golf Ranking. He skyrocketed from 92nd to 44th position in the FedExCup Standings thus locking up his PGA Tour card for next season. He bagged 245 FedExCup Points for his effort. Anirban also strengthened his bid for a berth at the Presidents Cup 2017 having moved up from 22nd to 15th place in the rankings which determine spots for the International Team. It was his second top-10 and ¿ fth top- 25 ¿ nish of the current PGA Tour season. His prize money earnings for the current PGA Tour season stand at US$ 1,550,074 placing him 40th in the Money List. He has broken the US$ 1 million mark for the ¿ rst time on the PGA Tour. Lahiri so far has four top-10s and eight top-25s in his PGA Tour career. He now has three top-10s to his credit in the year 2017. His previous two top-10s this year came at the Maybank Championship (tied seventh) and at the Hero Indian Open (tied ¿ fth), both events co-sanctioned by the European Tour & Asian Tour.
