It ’ s been a long road getting to this spot , but it will be even more challenging from this point on . The ranking can change after any week , and I will just keep working very hard every single day . I don ’ t see this as a mission complete , but it ’ s just the beginning . I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone .
My family , my coaches , my team , my sponsors and all the Thai fans . Thank you .” Prior to ascending to World No . 1 , Jutanugarn spent 38 career weeks as the No . 2 player in the world . She is the 10th different golfer to be No . 1 in her career since the Rolex Rankings started in 2006 . The newly crowned top-ranked player in women ’ s golf has nine top-10 finishes in 13 starts this season , including three runner-ups and her win on Sunday . Thanks to her victory , she now ranks first on the 2017 Official Money List with $ 954,279 and she has $ 3,987,753 in career earnings .
In-Kyung Kim , claimed her seventh career victory and her fifth on the LPGA at the ShopRite LPGA Classic . Kim , who won the 2016 ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters in Germany and the 2016 Reignwood LPGA Classic in China has spent the better part of the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017 recovering from falling down the stairs . Her start in New Jersey was only her sixth of the year . “ I really didn ’ t expect ( to win ) right away , but I knew my game was better than last year ,” said Kim . “ My trainer , my coach , they had to change so many plans for me because so many things happened last winter . But I just feel so good and I feel all the support .” With the victory , In-Kyung Kim becomes the 13th different winner on the LPGA Tour in 2017 and the seventh from South Korea . With the $ 225,000 firstplace check , Kim moves from 25th to 23rd on the LPGA Career Money List with $ 7,849,138 in career earnings .

LET STARS ON GROWING THE GAME

une is the month of women ’ s Golf month . It is an initiative by England Golf where the ladies Europeans tour aim is to hold the decline of the women Golf membership in the country after Golf courses reported decline in the membership of the women Golfer ’ s in the country .
There are fewer women golfers as the percentage of players playing there than in any other European country , something that ladies tour wants to address with some of the golf professionals . They are backing with Indian Golf school to make this month as the women ’ s golf month . Ladies European tour had quarters in Buckinghamshire had an opportunity to learn from PGA tours . To hear first hand from the professional players on the tour with the short game master class from Top coach Daniel Greif and there are further events aiming to increase the number of women playing amount to plan throughout the month . Ladies European Tour Members Georgia Hall and Inci Mehmet appeared on the Sky Sports Sportswomen show to discuss the strength of women ’ s golf and growing the game . Inci Mehmat said that it is very important specially as the female golfer myself , on Sunday we had the short game clinic where Daniel Greif briefed our coaches as he led the clinic . We had about 100 young children attending the event . There was enthusiasm and will to learn in the kids . The game needs to grow as when the golfers specially the young golfers who will be coming on the top would be from England . The important point is that we need to get out of the idea that Golf is only for men . This game is intimidating for young women and men . “ British Golf is getting bigger and bigger , We have great players who are among the top players of the world . There could be 5 English players in cup . So , definitely British golf is up on
the high ”. said Georgia It really becomes hard if someone has putt with 7 8 under the shot in the first round of which i cannot do much about it , but yeah i am playing well had consistency in last years so hopefully this year won ’ t be the same .
How frustrating when you come third ? I miss some shots but I like to be patient and calm during the game . But If I keep producing good rounds and good puts , yeah I am happy . It ’ s the first season for Inci on the tour as rookie and it ’ s a definite enjoyment to her by far from the Moroccan and Spanish open back to back as a rookie she got great opportunity as she played two tournaments in two weeks . There is competitiveness in other games with much of the male dominance spread in the games so for a woman when she plays golf it is much easier and comfortable . It is really important to grow the game and get more females on the course .
