will be returning to Karnataka

August 9th – 12th. With an increased prize
fund of US$350,000 the most exciting
Asian Tour and Indian gol¿ ng talent will be
taking part in, what promises to be, a very
exciting competition. SSP Chawrasia, Arjuna
Awardee, four-time European Tour winner,
two-time Asian Tour winner and 11-time
Indian Tour winner will be returning along
with Khalin Joshi, the three-time Indian
Tour winner. Joshi’s second place made him
India’s top ¿ nisher in last year’s event.

They will be joined by Chiragh Kumar, a
winner on the Asian Tour, four-time Indian
Tour winner and a silver medallist as an
amateur at the 2006 Asian Games.
The tournament is co-sanctioned by Asian
Tour and Professional Golf Tour of India
(PGTI) and is an Asian Tour Order of Merit
event with Of¿ cial World Golf Ranking
(OWGR) points.
Consisting of 72 holes of stroke play; 18
holes will be played each round, including
a cut after two rounds. The tournament has
free entry for all spectators and everyone
is welcome, with parking available at the
KGA. The main tournament prize giving
will take place immediately after play has
¿ nished on Sunday 12th August. A win
last year for Thailand’s Poom Saksansin
broke four years of Indian dominance in
international tournaments played on home
soil. Last year’s runner-up, Khalin Joshi,

will be looking to go one better this year on
his home course. Whatever the nationality
of the winner, a strong international ¿ eld will
be sure to provide four days of high quality,
exciting golf.
As well as the highest standard of
golf being played throughout the week,
exhibition booths of gol¿ ng and other items
