ALUMNI GOLF CUP 2019, JAIPUR

(Soba),
Rajasthan
recently hosted the
Alumni Golf Cup in
Jaipur on the 17th
November.
The
quadrangular golf event
saw the participation of the Alumni of four
schools, including Daly College, Indore;
The Doon School, Dehradun; Mayo College,
Ajmer and the Scindia School, Gwalior.
Saturday morning saw some action
packed moments on the lush green grounds
of Rambagh Golf Club while they were seen
bonding over drinks & dinner later in the
evening. The tournament was played by 72
golfers from the four schools over Stableford
Double Peoria format. The Scindia School,
Gwalior & Mayo College, Ajmer were the
joint winners. Siddarth Sharma, an alumnus
of Mayo College won the trophy for best
gross score.
The secretary of Soba Rajasthan, Neeraj
Periwal, added “In our school days we used
to have quadrangular tournaments for cricket,

football, hockey and golf was not there in
those days. Winning these quadrangular was
very important for us. Now after so many
years Soba Rajasthan has taken the initiative
to host t he quadrangular golf cup.”
Lt. Gen. Alok Kler, army commander of
the south western command, was also seen at
the prize giving ceremony. Gen. Kler a sports
enthusiast added: “I missed participating
in the tournament due to a wrist injury but

meeting my old friends from the school is
equally be¿ tting”.
Subodh Agrawal, Additional Chief
Secretary Rajasthan Government, an alumnus
of the Scindia School, the chief guest for
the event also added: “Those were the days
that have made our childhood a memorable
one. Every year we try and meet up at least
once and relive those fond memories and the
mischievous acts of our school days.”
