GP: TAT has attracted a great
number of Indian Tourists during
the years gone by, What are your
expectations for the coming year?
IS: Thailand continues to be a
very popular destination for Indian
travellers. In 2018, we welcomed
close to 1.6 million Indian tourists
to Thailand which is a remarkable
increase of 23% from last year. Our
target for 2019 is 2 million Indian
tourists to Thailand and we are
working hard towards achieving our
goal by promoting new destinations

and products in Thailand for Indian
travellers.
GP: Tell us about “Open to the New
Shades” campaign.
IS: The communication campaign
will introduce brand-new products
to visitors, or reveal a new charming
character of well-known destinations
through creativity. This campaign is
aimed at attracting more repeat visitors
and also first-time visitors. Visitors can
discover new perspectives on existing
attractions, or indulge in unique
experiences in new tourist attractions.
