JUNIOR GOLF PRODIGY ARJUN BHATI rjun began to play golf at the age of 8 at Jaypee Greens Golf Course. He played in first Indian Golf Tournament as an albatross and secured 13th position in Category D when he was 8 years old. Yet again Arjun Bhati managed to secure first position in Albatross International Junior Golf Championship 2018 held on 16th November 2018 at the Classic Golf & Country Club. Arjun has been coaching under the supervision of Coach Monish Bindra and his fitness Trainer Sandeep Parihar. He has heralded as a great golfer for other juniors. Arjun has won many tournaments like the IGU CGCC Junior Open Tournament, IGU Western India Junior Boys Golf Championship, IGU Yes Bank Maharashtra Junior Boys Golf Championship, IGU Yes Bank Tamil Nadu Junior Boys Golf Championship and the 2016 World Championship wherein he became the Runner-up this year in America. After winning the major junior golf championships everyone is now aware that he is special and the future emerging golf star that every player will look up to. I undertook Arjun’s coaching in June 2015. Since then it’s been an interesting journey. He is currently focussing on the physical and mental development. As for the golf swing he is working in skills development. He works really hard on his golf game and enjoys the game and loves hitting hundreds of balls. He is humble but a really fi erce competitor. - Monish Bindra I have been training Arjun Bhati since he was seven years of age when he was just starting with golf. Since the very fi rst day he is the same kid who has been dedicated, disciplined and very hardworking when it comes to golf. Amongst the other kids I train, he loves to do explosive workout and lower body training. It has always been a treat to be with Arjun as his fi tness trainer. - Sandeep Parihar GolfPlus DECEMBER 2018 21
