The approach to the green on the
par 4, 1st hole at the St Enodoc
only, means it is not overly long but certainly
no pushover with its undulating fairways
and fast-paced, target greens. Over the last
couple of years, St Enodoc has invested a
great deal of time and effort in upgrading
the Holywell so visitors can expect excellent
course conditions that meet the same high
standards as those on the main course. In
addition to great golf, this part of Cornwall
is a wonderful destination for a wide range
of activities.
Referred to more and more as EnglandÊs
St Tropez, Rock has easy access by ferry
to the lively, well-known fishing port of
Padstow, where the ubiquitous TV chef
Rick Stein established his first seafood
restaurant and now runs a variety of food
and accommodation enterprises in the
town. For those who love the outdoors, it is
an excellent place for long walks along the
nearby beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay,
which are also perfect for watersports such
as surfing, paddle-boarding, windsurfing and
water-skiing. A little further along the coast,
culture vultures can enjoy a visit to the Tate
St Ives, featuring local as well as international
artists, and the Barbara Hepworth Museum
and for garden-lovers there are the fascinating
Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden
Project. To view the new-look website, please
