course scores . The USGA Handicapping system rates golf courses based on their playing difficulty from each tee ( slope rating ). This rating is used in calculating the Course Handicap .
If you were a 9.7 at TNGF ( rating of 124 ), Chennai and played from the DLF Black tees , which has a rating of 155 , your Course handicap would be 13 and would thus have a better chance against Rayhan . The NHS updates handicaps every 15 days to reflect the latest scores that can be viewed online for peer review to eliminate or prevent posting of wrong scores .
Most Clubs insist on you carrying a handicap certificate . With GHIN , your
Handicap is available online at GHIN . com , globally .

THE WORLD HANDICAPPING SYSTEM
The USGA and the R & A along with other National Bodies like Golf Australia have collaborated to establish the WHS beginning 2020 . There are many features of the existing system ( GHIN ) that have been retained . Some key changes effected are :
>> An average-based calculation of a handicap , taken from the best eight out of the last 20 scores instead of best 10 out of 20 while closely linking previous best scores .
>> A maximum handicap limit of 54.0 , regardless of gender , up from 36.4 for men and 40.4 for women .
>> Daily handicap revisions , taking account
of the course and weather conditions calculation as opposed to a 15-day cycle ( GHIN ) or monthly revision ( Clubs ).
>> 54 Holes ( 3 rounds ) to be played to get a new handicap , down from 90 holes ( 5 rounds ), National Bodies to have some leeway to set different requirements .
DON ’ T MANIPULATE , THE COMMITTEE IS WATCHING
Two basic premises underline the USGA system , firstly that each player will try to make the best score at every hole , every round and that the player will post every round for review . If you donÊt , big brother is watching and the penalty can be disastrous !
