PANNONIA GOLF & CC The golf course is situated in Mariavölgy about 40 minutes from
Budapest city center. The land was occupied by the Habsburg family as a weekend retreat
around the year 1845. The approach to the course and clubhouse is through a beautiful alley
of towering 200 year old sicamore trees. The 18 hole golf course was designed by Austrian Golf
Architect Hans Georg Erhardt and was opened in June 1997. The shaping of the course was
carried out by English construction company Southern Golf. Pannonia Golf Course is the hig-
hest quality golf course in Hungary. It is a must play course as Pannonia Golf & Country Club
won the B.I.D. International Quality award in Gold Category for Customer Satisfaction, Quality,

BALATON GOLF CLUB The Balaton Golf Club welcomes its visitors in a pictorial environment.
The first 18-hole golf course of the Lake Balaton lies in a unique natural environment next to
Tihany,between Balatonudvari and Örvényes, offering splendid panorama on the Lake Bala-
ton. The course has character, views of Lake Balaton known as the ‘Hungarian Ocean’ due to
its Caribbean clear waters and is the biggest inland lake in Europe. The course is adjacent to
the Balaton-Uplands National Park, and includes the gravel pit of Örvényes which is qualified
as a nature reserve, which can be played around by the passionates of golf. Four fairways are
surrounded by forests – the beauty of the landscape is raised by ornament lakes, reeds and
vineyards. The layout of the course is unique with parts of the golf played round a beautiful
transformed quarry which inhabits deer and foxs, four holes cut through a forest and a mix-
ture of lakes on the course presents a course you will want to play again. Balaton Golf was

original golf course is living its renaissance basing its story on a genius plan of lines and shapes.
The bushy roughs and extensive flora make it a rather difficult one, as the first 9 holes curve
through the woods their demanding accuracy gives you the advantages of a championship and
country-style course together. Going onto the second 9 holes a more relaxed aura welcomes the
player with some tricky doglegs. The country style Clubhouse ideally accommodates the traditi-
onal Hungarian restaurant and newly built guest rooms where you may enjoy authentic meals
as well as the friendly and family-like atmosphere supported by a reasonably fair price concept.
