THE VENUE
ADELAIDE CONVENTION CENTRE
The Adelaide Convention Centre
(ACC) opened its doors in 1987
with twin aims of setting a new
benchmark for convention
facilities and services in
Australia and contributing to
the South Australian economy
by attracting a high yield
tourism sector to the State.
Succeeding on both counts, the
centre has established a global
reputation for excellence, as
reflected by a string of awards
and a high rate of repeat
business, and to date has
created more than $1.4 billion
in economic benefit for South
Australia.
Like all good convention
facilities, the ACC is constantly
evolving and improving. Three
major extensions have been
completed in the past three
decades – the most recent being
the striking new East Building,
officially opened in August 2017.
This years’ exhibition and
plenary spaces will be held in
Halls L & M respectively on the
spacious West Building’s ground
floor level (shown in green).
The ACC is conveniently located
in the heart of the city centre
and nestled within the beauty
of the Riverbank Precinct,
surrounded by parklands and
the River Torrens.
It is a short five minute stroll
across the new ACC plaza from
the Official Conference Hotel,
the Intercontinental Adelaide.
