Golden Box Book Publishing Who Stole Terry's Music Box | Page 9

Pansy found Oliver ’ s scent under the azalea bush and followed it all the way to the edge of the garden where she found Oliver sleeping in the shade . “ My prickly friend ,” Pansy said watching the hedgehog smiling in his sleep . “ We went to the animal ’ s ball once and every time you go to sleep , you ’ re still dreaming about it . It was a great ball for sure , but I must wake you up . Terry needs our help .”
Oliver didn ’ t hear what Pansy said , so Pansy shouted , “ Oliver , wake up !”
The hedgehog still didn ’ t budge . Pansy reached out to touch Oliver ’ s shoulder to shake him , but then she remembered the painful pricks of Oliver ’ s quills . So , instead , Pansy tickled Oliver ’ s foot . “ Wake up Oliver ,” Pansy shouted again .
“ What ?” Oliver mumbled under his breath and sat up . “ What did you wake me for ? I was at the ball in my dream and the bumble bees sang such a sweet song .”
“ I ’ m sorry , Oliver ,” Pansy apologized . “ Terry is sad because her music box is missing . We must help her find it .”
“ Okay , okay ,” The fully awake hedgehog said . “ I ’ m coming .”
