A sweet massage from a mother
after she purchased the book for her daughter
"Dear Erika,
Thank you for publishing this book, it was an excellent idea.
Charlotte spent two hours yesterday with coloring and imagining
what the pictures are about. She didn't like the zebra with rainbow
colors, so she drew a rainbow in the sky and colored the zebra with
black stripes.
The picture I attached made me so proud that I thought I'll send it to
you and tell you the story she made up.
She stared at this pictures for a few minutes with a sad expression on
her face and then she asked me if every wolf really must eat the little
pigs. I told her that it's her storybook, so the wolf has to eat what she
tells him to eat. She thought about it for a minute and she told me
with a huge smile that this wolf will be a vegan, just like us. She
started coloring and she kept talking.
In a deep voice she said, "I'm hungry but I'm not the big bad wolf."
Then pretending to be a little pig she cried, "But you're a wolf and
you eat little pigs."
In a deeper voice she continued, "Ew, I don't eat meat and I don't eat
cute piggies and bunnies."
She changed to a chirping voice, "Then what do you eat?
She's the wolf again, "I eat carrots, and apples, and watermelons, and
blueberries, and peanuts, and beans, and... I don't like Brussels
sprouts. Little pig you have a nice red apple. Can I eat it?"
She laughed and shouted, "Run little pigs, run! The wolf wants to eat
your carrots and apples."
