Ilona looked at Elza, feeling desperate, “Then what can we
do?”
Zoltan said, “Then I think we should go back to talk to Ema
and Elana before we meet the Elders. Elana might have some
useful information on how to deal with them. There is nothing we
can do otherwise.”
Ilona thought about it for a second, “I don’t think it would be
any help. How can she do anything? She doesn’t know anything
about us. For her, we are in the far future.”
“I think it is worth a try. I spent some time with her, and she is
a very smart woman with great knowledge. We can’t lose
anything by trying, and we don’t know anyone else we could turn
to for help.”
“You’re right, we can’t lose anything. She could give us some
information about the Hun society structure and laws in her time,
which might be helpful.”
Elza shouted staring at the security camera, “Okay then, but
we don’t have much time, you have to hurry up. There is a car
coming up the driveway! It must be them. I don’t know what I’m
gonna do if you’re not here!”
“It’s okay, Elza. We will be back before you know we’re
gone! Just think about Zoltan and Ema disappearing. He was back
with not a second wasted,” Ilona reassured her.
“Oh, right! I’m not thinking straight. Go ahead then!” She
urged them.
Zoltan, grabbing Ilona’s waist hugged her close, “We’re going
back to the time when Ema had been there for about a week. She
will have a lot to tell you! Here we go!”
