"I am one of the few who have ticked price. I have done so because it is a tricky one....I consider price on size of book, ie diamensions and/or number of pages. I hate buying a book thinking I am going to get a reasonable sized read, to find out that so called 'Novel' is no more than a short story, a novelette rather than even a novella. I think all authors should make thesize clear and that should have some bearing on the cost. Also price is relevent if it is non-fiction, such as a cook book....just saying!"

"I like to read a book in a day so I tend to go for the shorter reads. 300 pages I can do in about 5 hours and that is about my limit. So for me, I actually prefer books under that page count and wouldn't pay much more for a 500 page book. Everybody is different. Obviously, a longer book costs more to produce and I understand why they are sometimes priced higher."

"I don't judge a book by it's cover, because you have the whole spectrum from one end to the other where the cover isn't WOW but the story is, and vice versa. The blurbs can help draw attention, but as I know it can be insanely difficult to write a blurb without giving away too much but enough to really draw attention. I don't go by reviews at all because what one person enjoys I may not, and far too many reviews are more like book reports that give away the entire storyline instead of focusing on the readers thoughts and feelings... what they enjoyed, what really brought out their emotions (without giving away spoilers) etc. So in the end, it boils down to a combination of things. The cover is an initial eye catch, but that's all it's meant to be. The blurb can be another attention grabber, as well, but still doesn't sell me. Ultimately, I go to the Look Inside feature, where I can read a sample of the book. This gives me a taste of the story, along with the writer's style, and from those combinations I can make an informed decision."

"I'm mainly a blurb and cover kind of woman. And then I read all the one and two star reviews. First because they amuse me and second because it's interesting the stuff that irritates people."
