How do you deal with haters and self-doubt as a public figure?

The hardest adjustment to make was that people were publically hating me and making comments about me. That’s a whole different realm. In the beginning it was hard but as it goes on and you see how many people love your vs hate you, you are thankful for your fans and the people that love you!

What is your take on the Women's March as a woman yourself?

I think the women’s march really showed not only our country but everyone around the world that we are not going to sit down and back down but set a united front and fight for what we believe in. Women are powerful and not going to just be quiet and let things happen. The turnout across the country was astounding and it really shows women are strong and powerful and if you get a big group together there’s no telling what you can do!

Dorothy also finds time for her two favorite charities UNICEF and Children’s Hospital.

What has doing charity work taught you?

I have been doing charity work my whole life, my parents would take us to the orphanages in china or the mental facilities in china and we worked with them closely. Especially with the children. It has kept us very grounded and given me a sense of knowing that I can make a difference in someone else’s life and it’s also has made me very aware of how lucky I am and how fortunate I am to have the life that I have. I understand what is happening in the real world and its very humbling and grounds you and makes you remember what is important in life.
