How did you get started?

When I was younger, I lived in Chicago. My parents would take me to shows all the time, and I knew I wanted to be the one on stage. I made my mom and dad watch me act out “shows” at my house all the time. From there, I did theater and fell in love with it, and have since built an empire for myself.

Where did your love for acting come from?

My love for acting came from the theater when I was younger when I would attend shows with my mom and dad.

How is it working with AwesomenessTV’s series “LA Story'?

Working with AwesomenessTV is amazing! I love working with such an amazing company. I love being on LA STORY with such fun and exciting cast!

Do you have any other acting projects coming out?

I have another season of LA STORY coming out, which is very exciting and I can’t wait for that. I also have other exciting things coming out that will be announced soon.

What is your advice for other young actresses?

My advice would be to never give up. There are so many auditions that I have gone on and that I have not gotten, but you have to keep your head high and keep trying. Also, never lose your way about yourself. Always be yourself and don't change just because someone else tells you or wants you to.

How did you get into dance?

When I was very little, I would dance around my house all the time, so my mom put me in dance because she thought I would love it - and I did! I have been dancing on and off since I was 3 years old, and I have loved it ever since.

What type of dance is your most favorite?

My favorite style of dance is jazz funk. It’s like sassy hip-hop. It’s so fun, I feel like I can really show off my personality.

You competed for the Miss California USA crown last year. What is a pro and a con in competing in pageants?

When you compete in a pageant, you really learn to be independent and how to communicate well with all different types of people. The worst thing about pageants is the stereotyping.

Do you plan on doing more?

I do plan on competing more. I'm actually competing again this year for Miss California Teen USA in December.

Lastly, what would you say to fans who aspire to be like you some day?

I would say, be yourself and never give up on your dreams. Work hard and always appreciate every opportunity you are given.
