The “undercover, stealthy” VF will be raced under the Tango 4 banner and joins; - Tango 1 - a VT Commodore (donated in 2003) - Tango 2 - a Pontiac GTO (2006) - Tango 3 - a VE Commodore SS-V Sportswagon (2011) The original Tango 1, a VQ Statesman, was donated to WA Police Tango 1 Police Drag Racing Program in the early 1990s, ran under that banner until 2003. “Holden has been a proud supporter of the Beat the Heat (WA) Inc program since its inception, and supports its goals of reducing TANGO 4 the incidents of illegal street racing on our roads by educating young drivers or those who may be tempted.” said Paul Rietveld, National Aftersales Operations Manager at GM Holden Ltd. Beat the Heat (WA) Inc’s anti-street racing program run by off duty “fun” police is aimed at reducing the incidents of illegal Street racing by encouraging participation in the sport of drag racing in a safe and controlled environment. Beat the Heat (WA) Inc program contests as many as 40 competition events annually, with the majority of these are held at the Perth Motorplex, where offstreet drag racing events run each and every Wednesday nights. The Beat the Heat (WA) Inc team also conduct static displays promoting the road safety message and the sport of drag racing at school fetes, trade shows and motoring events across the state of Western Australia. “Beat the Heat (WA) Inc is proud to be associated with GM Holden Ltd.
