‘Diamond Silver’ by Holden
designers, it gives a liquid
aluminium finish that almost
slides off the bodywork.
Back in 2008 there were
immediate comparisons to the
VT Coupe Concept that debuted
at the 1998 Sydney International
Motor Show (the vehicle that
eventually became the new
Holden Monaro).
The Coupe 60 and Holden's
other legendary concept cars
regularly attend various car
shows around the country for the
public to see and when not on
tour the collection is on display
in the foyer of Holden head
quarters in Port Melbourne.
Unfortunately production of the
VE-based, Coupe 60 never got
much further than concept stage,
but there has been a few styling
cues that has end up appearing
on road-going Holdens.
The bonnet and fender vents on
the Coupe 60 closely resemble
the vents on the current VFII
Commodore and the LED tail light
technology on the Coupe 60 are
what the LED tail lights on the VFII
Sportwagons are based off.
