CONTRIBUTORS 10 ith yet another Winter, Super Bowl and Academy Wards behind us, we turn our attention to Spring; hopefully the rain has subsided and the sun will continue to shine brightly. In this issue we have highlighted the activities that either occupy our daylight hours or that we think should occupy them. We trust that our Special Home and Garden Section (pages 49 to 59) will help you with your spring cleaning, home remodeling and landscape fi xes. It is so hard to believe that one of the largest, richest states in the United States falls short when it comes to funding our schools. We are so fortunate to have innovative school districts that work hard to bridge the gap and provide a quality learning environment for our students. Our writer, Robin Shepherd did an excellent job laying out the challenges and some of the solutions (pages 32-39). We start a two-part look at our cities and how they will prog- ress into the future starting with Gilroy and its proposed Place- Based Economic Development (pages 12-15). We will take a look at economic development in Morgan Hill in our next issue. Who Do You Trust? It reminded her of him, sitting by the banks of that creek catching his fi rst fi sh when he was 2—just a few feet up from where the Little Boy statue sits. DISNEYLAND IS TRULY THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH when Papa (Larry) and Nana (J. Chris) had the opportunity to spend three days there with their grandbabies, Ava (3), and Maddox (6). We agree, however, that it was good to have their mother, Kristine and father, Oliver Lee (from Littleton, Colorado) along to help contain the excitement.
