Now Playing show instead of being on stage. She agreed and so began her long, rewarding relation- ship with South Valley Civic Theater as an actor, musician, designer, costumer, painter and director. She has won countless awards from almost every season. However her best rewards she says are the many friends she has made over the years. Carol has been involved with 84 productions for SVCT playing 13 major roles, directing 31 plays, musically directing 11 plays and vocally directing 14 plays. She served for over 20 years on the Board of Directors for SVCT and is a past President of the Board. The complete list of theater companies and plays she has been involved with is far too long to put to print. Her closing comment was, “People are sometimes surprised to learn that I will be 81 in a few months. I think theater may have something to do with it. SVCT puts no limitations on age or ability. When I retired from teaching I was able to stay in contact with young people through the theater. The energy of young people is contagious! Staying active keeps you young! Try getting involved. We can all grow older together!” Carol is currently directing SVCT’s upcoming production of It’s A Wonderful Life. “Mom's Gift” By Phil Olsen “It's A Wonderful Life” November 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 30 December 2, 7, 8 November 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 30 December 2, 7, 8 Our annual fundraiser for the Michael J.
