New Year’s resolutions give us the chance to wipe away disappointments and short-falls of 2018. We can all start anew with a clean slate for 2019 by setting goals for things we want to improve on and change. Although many people make resolutions, few of us actually stick with them longer than a few weeks. Many folks share the same goal, such as losing weight. But surprisingly, TODAY found that the old-time tradition of making New Year resolutions is not only alive and well in our communities, but that the goals are getting more creative, too. While strolling around the streets of Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Martin, we met nineteen locals who are optimistic that if they can only reach their personal goals, they can improve themselves for 2019.
