long Watsonville Road there are a
number of beautiful homes. One of the
truly unique ones is the home of Rob
and Ginny Christopher. A big sweeping
drive winds up to a large 4,500 square
foot home on two main levels. Below is a garage,
storage and a unique wine cellar.
The living quarters are all on the second floor.
But before you get inside you notice a black-
bottomed pool in the hilltop retreat’s front yard.
Large sliding doors open to the living room. The
house faces northeast, giving morning sun to the
front of the house, the pool, the piano room and
the master bedroom.
The house is a little hard to describe. It is a little
Tahoe-like with some Hawaii-like finishes inside,
but it also has a distinctive Craftsman vibe. The back
yard has a few deck/seating areas and also a large
fenced-in hillside planted with mostly indigenous
plants, and numerous bird houses. The grand front
door is carved and has elegant stained glass insets.
