The abundance of wildlife is reason enough to visit Point Lobos; seals, sea lions, sea otters, and migrating gray whales are frequently spotted. A small turn-of-the-century cabin built by Chinese fi shermen still remains at Whalers Cove and has been converted into a cultural history museum. Once inside the gates, signs and red-painted dashed lines on the pavement help direct you along the route.
