ST. JOSEPH’S FAMILY CENTER ST. PATRICK’S DAY DINNER St. Joseph’s Family Center hosted it’s annual St. Patrick’s Dinner, a fundraiser that supports their food assistance programs.  Over 200 friends, volunteers and donors gathered to enjoy homemade craft beer and delicious food and to learn more about the impact they can have in alleviating hunger and food insecurity in South County.   The mission of the Center is to alleviate hunger and homelessness in South Santa Clara County by providing food, housing and employment-related services, and advocating for systemic changes to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable people in our communities. SAN MARTIN NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION HISTORY OF SAN MARTIN 36 GILROY • MORGAN HILL • SAN MARTIN MAY/JUNE 2017 The San Martin Neighborhood Association was pleased to host the community event, History of San Martin. Author and speaker, Donna Brodsky (below left) took us back in time with stories of how San Martin was formed. She shared historical information including who the settlers were, and why they decided to stay. Some local “Old-Timers” told stories that had the crowd in stiches. We proudly introduced the new San Martin Chamber of Commerce and were honored to have Supervisor Wasserman reveal and announce the coming of San Martin north & south bound Highway 101 signs. It was a great turn-out of local residents. gmhtoday.com
