Glen & Vicki Wildman Kathy Sullivan & Mary DiMeo Prohibition Party Presented by the Morgan Hill Historical Society Locals came dressed to impress to the Morgan Hill Historical Society’s Prohibition Party held at Villa Mira Monte in June. The only way to gain entry to this mod- ern-day speakeasy was to know the secret password! Once inside, guests dined on tasty fare, provided by GVA Café. Many danced the night away to jazzy Roaring ‘20s favor- ites performed by the Zinfandel Stompers. Attendees posed in front of antique cars to have their pictures taken by the Morgan Hill Photography Club. Along with a raffle were silent auction items includ- ing golf for four at CordeValle, a package of social dance lessons, and a framed vintage Art Deco lithograph. And of course there were libations to suit all tastes, whether a Gin Rickey or Bee’s Knees cocktail, or local wines from Paradise Valley Vineyard and Mann Cellars. Seriously, this party was the cat’s pajamas – we’re hoping it becomes an annual affair!
