A Year Of “Service Above Self ” May 2015 A record number of people attended the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill’s 10th annual Dazzle fundraiser dinner and celebration on May 29th. Exceeding the goal of 250 attendees and raising $47,000 for phil- anthropic purposes, the 256 guests enjoyed the near perfect weather at the picturesque Clos LaChance Winery. The annual speech contest with 8 participants from our local high schools. First Place went to Roxanne Ohayon, second place to Makena McElroy and third place to Nina Singh Donates van to Martha’s Kitchen helping them expand their ser- vices and further their efforts to serve meals to those in need in Morgan Hill and the South County Area. By The Numbers: March 2015 Alban Diaz, Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Morgan Hill, was presented with a check for $7,000 from the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill for scholarships to their summer program. These scholarships will be used for those families who need help to send their children to their summer camp. Refreshments were prepared by the parents of the youth who attend the Boys and Girls Club. All Morgan Hill residents benefit from work completed at Morgan Hill House. The 33rd Harvey Barrett Annual Senior Dinner at the Buddhist Community Center on Saturday, March 21st. Named in honor of Harvey Barrett, the 29th president of the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill, and first held in 1983 under the leadership of the 1983-84 club president, Marvin Cohn, the 2015 event fed, entertained and celebrated 280 of Morgan Hill’s elders.
