When I was being bullied, it would have meant
the world to me to have heard someone say,
wherever you want to go in life, it is possible.

$16,400 this year. One of this year’s recipients was the DUB Baseball/Software Foundation.

honor locals who demonstrate a strong
commitment to philanthropy, volunteerism,
or both. This year’s event, themed “Home
Town Heroes,” will be held on November
13th at the Morgan Hill Community and
Cultural Center. Event proceeds go toward
grants and scholarships as well as a portion
of event costs, which are also covered by
corporate sponsors.
“The Foundation invites members of the
community to nominate candidates, and
everyone who is nominated is honored,”
Whelan said. The 2015 nomination form is
due by September 11, 2015 and is available
online at morganhillcf.org.
“We keep philanthropy front and center
in Morgan Hill, and our November event
gives the whole town a chance to come
out and celebrate. It’s a great way to finish
out one year and get ready for the next,”
Whelan said.
