RHONE VARIETALS: TASTE, EXPERIENCE, ENJOY Wine lovers were invited to enjoy an evening of great fun, tasty bites, and some of the best samples of Rhone Valley varietal wines grown locally at Bubbles Wine Bar on Monday, March 16th. Local winegrower, Jeffrey Fadness from La Vie Dansante Wines shared the secrets, surprises and ins-and-outs of the Santa Clara Valley’s best Rhone varietals. Wines featured were from Aver Family Vineyards, Sarah’s Vineyard and Lion Ranch Vineyard and Winery. The Morgan Hill Community Foundation (MHCF) is a tax-exempt public charity focused on improving the quality of life in the greater Morgan Hill region. The event, held at Gilroy Lodge on the Hill, featured a silent auction and cocktails followed by a sit-down dinner, murder mystery play, and a live auction. The event drew about 200 families and friends of St. Mary School. Guests bid on trips, wine, dinners, wine getaways, theater tickets, sports tickets and memorabilia, and unique décor items. The event proceeds will pay for new furniture for St. Mary School’s junior high classrooms and new laptop computers. St. Mary School would like to thank all of the event volunteers, donors, sponsors and bidders for their support.
