GMB has 50 pairs of tickets
to give away – for free!
It's never too soon to plan for Christmas! And GMB has 50 pairs
of tickets to the Festive Gift Fair to give away – so you can get
your Christmas shopping done early!
The Festive Gift Fair is on in Hall 12 in the NEC Birmingham
from 10-13 November 2016, and is packed full of thousands of
unique presents, food and drink to sample and buy.
Have fun looking around this Aladdin's Cave of gifts, with
presents for children, home interior ideas, stocking fillers,
pressies for pets… and so much more!
Plus, there's a truly festive atmosphere at the fair. Carol
singers, live bands and panto favourites will keep the whole
family entertained!
To get your hands on a pair of tickets, which will be sent out
on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 50 members who
apply, please send your name, address and membership
number to [email protected] by email or post to
the Halesowen Regional Office by no later than 30 September
2016. Names will be drawn and winners will be notified in writing
along with tickets thereafter. Good luck!
OUT
GMB proudly sponsors
the Halas Hawkes South
FC Under-7s…
These young footballers have
reason to be cheerful: they have
a new kit thanks to the GMB C15
General branch!
Elizabeth Corbett, branch
secretary; Anne Kelly, branch
president; and equalities officer
Kevin Baker have generously
donated £750 to support the
boys as they start their journey
as a new football team.
The donation was put towards
a much-needed new kit, as the
boys had been playing in old,
worn kits since they formed their
team, and they were also without
any team jackets.
The branch is proud to be able
to help a young football team
from the grass roots up.
A sad goodbye
GMB mourns Jim Duggan
We are sad to announce that
we recently lost our friend and
colleague Jim Duggan.
Jim was an active member
of GMB for over 40 years. He
held several positions within
GMB including in the Regional
Committee, the Regional
Council and was also
previously a Central Executive
Council (CEC) member. He
was a much-respected
member of our union whose
passing was very sudden.
He will be sadly missed but
will never be forgotten. We
extend sympathies to his
family and friends.
