Bloggers, media and press had positive and encouraging things to say about my collection. I still remember most of the remarks I got from renowned journalists and bloggers,” Hira told GLOSS. It is safe to say that dreams do come true if you keep working towards them passionately. “We have a tricky market. Along with that, we have a Displaying solo for the first time instead of being part of an entire design team she says that it felt quite natural to be doing that. “I was excited yet petrified of how everyone would react to my collection. It was because it was excessively minimal and that concept is still somewhat alien to our industry.” Her label ‘Hira Ali Studios’ is a balance between contemporary designs with traditional grace. She believes in a minimalistic approach towards designs as they are a core feature of the brand that creates a marriage of traditional and modern techniques. “The label is an extension of my personality. I am very particular about my style and aesthetics and the same is true for my brand,” she told GLOSS. “The idea of going 39
