She swam, played squash, windsurfed and dived. Her natural grace and skill in diving earned her a place in the Sri Lankan dive team and an opportunity to go to the Asian Games. While she never considered herself a natural runner, after she had her own a place to represent Australia in the World Triathlon held in Perth in 2009.
