Remembered for her feisty independence and spirited personality, Katherine Hepburn was a leading Hollywood lady for more than 60 years. She continuously challenged herself by accepting diverse work in film, stage and television and made a point to seek out different types of characters to portray. Whilst she enjoyed much success and recognition with multiple Academy Awards she also endured a series of commercial failures that saw her at one point labeled ‘box office poison’.
