AFTER A LONG TIME
A long, long time: after a long time,
after an age you may say,
I started what I had wanted to begin a long time ago.
I did not think I had it in me, back then.
I do not think I can do it, even now.
I am doing it anyway.
Strange, the way things turn out to be.
It feels good to prove myself wrong,
at least this once, it does.
