Against this backdrop of exploitation of the East by the west, General Secretary of All Pakistan Awami League Sheikh Mujibur Rahman launched his six points formula for all provinces of Pakistan in February, 1966 at Lahore conference of all political parties without the knowledge of President of Awami League Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan who assumed the post after the mysterious death of Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy in Beirut on December 5, 1963.Lahore conference of all political parties was intended to condemn Ayub Khan‟s role in Tashkent meeting between Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and Pakistan President Ayub Khan following 1965 war between India and Pakistan, but the proposal of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman spoiled the meeting in favor of Gen.Ayub Khan. Most political leaders, both from east and west, became angry against Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for such proposal at this critical juncture of Pakistan when political leaders considered Ayub Khan surrendered to India in Tashkent 5 The resentment over question of state language had increased over the years and exploded in February 21, 1952. On February 21 blood was shed by the student community in particular in defense of Bengali language and culture.
