Building creative capabilities is possible through iterative experiences as shown in Figure 2. Regardless of their natural creative talent, everyone can learn to become more creative. Events like ‘Creative Melbourne’ have been specifically designed to engage participants with one another through a series of activities where the environment is conducive to sharing and connecting ideas.

The bubbles of insights, shown in the second cycle (insights bubble), that form these conversations are then worked through other interactions,

such as social reflection to increase the size of the bubble and build the creative capabilities of all involved. When these iterative cycles continue over time, the maturity of the group evolves to a natural state of co-creation. At this level of maturity, the group can produce new knowledge, products and services more quickly and more efficiently.
